Access Uganda Tours client feedback
Equally important as deciding where to go is finding/selecting a good ground agent/guide. We contacted Hassan Mutebi of Access Uganda Tours based solely on excellent testimonies in several trip reports. It was a pleasure to correspond with Hassan and Jaria in setting up the trip. After the itinerary was finalized we were quoted an all inclusive price per person, based on 4 people in our case. And in the event, almost everything went as planned. Jaria manned the base at Kampala while Hassan handled all daily on-the-ground arrangements, did all the driving, acted as a very good bird and mammal guide, prepared snacks, cleaned the vehicle, etc., etc. In short, he worked extremely hard (and indefatigably) for 12+ hours almost every day, for 25 straight days. Basically, he never stopped. And somehow he maintained his equanimity and good sense of humour throughout the whole thing. Candy and I have no hesitation whatsoever in adding our own
heartfelt recommendation of Hassan and Jaria

Upon the recommendation of Jon Hornbuckle, Rita & I engaged Hassan Mutebi director of Acess Uganda Tours as our guide/driver throughout. Jaria his wife, handled all our arrangements splendidly. Hassan's brother was leading another group of birders for the company at the same time, and we overlapped briefly with them at Queen Elizabeth II park.
Hassan is an active member of the Uganda Bird Guides Club, and currently has the 3rd highest bird list for the country. He was a good driver and companion, and knew the important bird sites. We also did some brief exploring of thornscrub east of Masindi with good results. By hiring Hassan directly as our driver/guide and having him make arrangements, the cost of the land portion of our visit was less than half that charged by most bird tours for similar length trips.

We had been working as Rotary doctors in southern Kenya for 6 weeks and
wanted to see more birds while still being in Africa, so we contacted Hassan Mutebi in Kampala, owner of Access Uganda Tours for a 3 week birding trip. He suggested a route.
We can strongly recommend Hassan Mutebi’s birding trips and his company Access Uganda Tours Ltd. He is a very considerate tour leader, a keen birder and bird-finder of exception
al sort, discovering birds where it’s virtually devoid of birds.

Hassan Mutebi, organised an almost perfect trip for us and I can highly recommend this company.
We stayed most of the time at very luxurious hotels and lodges, only the community bandas at Buhoma were very basic, but clean.
