18 DAY SAFARI ADVENTURE

HIGHLIGHTS IN THIS SAFARI INCLUDE:

An Eighteen day safari starts from Entebbe/Kampala visiting the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda (Bwindi Impenetrable Forest), Game viewing in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park and the famous Murchison Falls National Park on the River Nile and Lake Mburo National Park, Semliki National Park, Hot Springs. A combination of lodges and camps are used and transport is by customized vehicle 4x4.

 

DAY ONE:

Arrive Entebbe. On arrival – met and driven to the hotel overnight hotel in Entebbe. BB.

 

DAY TWO:

Morning breakfast then take a speed boat to the Jane Good all Ngamba Chimpanzee island to view the chimps afternoon drive to Kampala. Overnight hotel in Kampala. FB.

 

DAY THREE:

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

At 3 840 square kilometers this is Uganda 's largest park, and is home to elephants, buffalo, all the big cats and is well known for its bird life – Shoebill being sought after rarity. It also has a large population of hippo and huge crocodiles, afternoon visit the top of the falls. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY FOUR:

Early morning game viewing, afternoon we will take a cruise to the bottom of the falls, a magical trip through some beautiful scenery. The whole of the 50 meters wide Nile River is forced into a gap only 7 meters wide – the immense force of the water and the views of the falls are awe inspiring. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY FIVE:

Drive out of the park, continue to Budongo forest to visit the Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourist Site – a partnership with the local community. This is an isolated block of the Budongo Forest, which has never been logged and is characterized by its mahogany and ironwood trees. This afternoon you can do a forest walk with experienced guides, looking for primates and the incredible bird life. Because of its remote location lions, leopards and buffalo are also present, Chimpanzees and six other species of primates overnight Masindi.

 

DAY SIX:

Drive to Kibale National park this almost takes a day. Overnight Hotel. FB.

 

DAYS SEVEN AND EIGHT:

After breakfast drive to Kibale forest, we visit Kibale Forest for chimp tracking and evening walk in Bigodi swamp for primate walks. Overnight Rwenzori View guest House or Rwenzori Traveler's Inn, Fort portal.

Next day drive to Semliki to see the hot springs and back to your hotel for overnight.

 

DAYS NINE AND TEN:

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, within these two days we will go on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel famous for hippos and bird life. Early morning and late afternoon game viewing/ drives will also be conducted in search of Uganda's unique wildlife such as the Giant Forest Hog, Red Forest Buffalo, Uganda Kob, Lion, Elephant, Leopards and other game. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY ELEVEN:

Morning game drives out of the park to Bwindi impenetrable game through the scenic little Switzerland. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY TWELVE:

An early morning trek into Bwindi National Park led by experienced trackers will bring you amongst a family of mountain gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, only 600 remaining. You will get within meters of the family and be privileged to spend time amongst them. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY THIRTEEN:

After breakfast visit the villages around Bwindi and the pygmies one of the primitive tribes in the villages of Bwindi. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY FOURTEEN:

After breakfast, drive to Kisoro afternoon take a walk around the village. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY FIFTEEN:

Visit the local people, we go for some entertainment from the local people. Overnight hotel in Kisoro. FB.

 

DAY SIXTEEN:

After breakfast drive to Kabale Visit Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lake in Africa, take a canoe ride on this beautiful lake to visit the island that acted as a leper asylum in the 1950's. Overnight hotel. FB.

 

DAY SEVENTEEN:

After breakfast drive to L.Mburo National park where the Zebras call a home go for an afternoon game drive in search for Zebras, Impalas, Topis, Warthogs, Buffalos, Eland and many others. Overnight hotel or camp. FB.

 

DAY EIGHTEEN:

After breakfast drive to Kampala, stop at the Equator and at the royal drum makers after that transfer to the Airport for your flight.

Included in this itinerary: accommodation on fullboard basis, park entrance fees, boat cruises, vehicle hire with fuel and driver guide, ranger guides fees and guided nature walks, chimp tracking, ferry crossings at Murchison Falls.

Not included tips, drinks and anything of personal nature, e.g laundry.
